Roanoke Valley Children's Choir
35th Annual Spring Concert
"A Little Spring Music"
Sunday, April 10th, 2022 at 1:30pm
Shaftman Hall at the Jefferson Center
The Roanoke Valley Children's Choir is proud to present their 35th Annual Spring Concert under the direction of Kimberly Ruse Davidson. The RVCC is especially excited to be back performing at the Jefferson Center in our traditional concert format for the first time since the 2020 pandemic! Just wait until you hear the beautiful singing filling the stage! This concert has a special "Pacific Rim" multicultural theme. Each of our individual choirs has a featured song in a different ethnic language from the Pacific Rim island countries. Take a trip with us to the sounds of the traditional Maori tribe, a Philippine folk song, and a beautiful Hawaiian waterfall. Other song selections will include staged Broadway numbers, classical repertoire, an audience sing-a-long, and a patriotic finale. The Concert Choir will be performing their two exciting opening numbers from the Spring Concert at Carnegie Hall in New York later this Summer. The Spring Concert will also feature the premiere of a local composer's new song "I Will Be Me", sung by all combined choirs.
The Concert will include the choristers from the RVCC's three Training Choirs, the Concert Choir, and the Little Singers. Careful Covid protocols are in place for distancing the choristers 3 feet apart and staggered spacing. To properly space the singers, all combined numbers will feature a “surround sound” experience with members of the choir singing from the stage, the space in front of the stage and the balcony. Audience seating will be on the main floor only.
Tickets
TIckets are $18, $21, $24 with $3 off for children 12 and under.
