Tuition Discount 2020-2021
Like all arts organizations, the RVCC is working very hard to remain strong both musically and financially during this time of cancelled concerts, decreased donations, and lower numbers of new choristers able to join. Additionally, the alternate planning and implementation of the Covid-19 operating plan for the RVCC requires an increased workload for our directors and and comes with a whole new set of expenses to operate in this different form. The RVCC is tuition and community sponsored. We rely on both tuition and donations to keep our organization running strong.
After much consideration, consulting with 5 other nearby Children’s Choirs, and talking with current choir families, we have decided to keep the standard tuition price the same as previous choir years. This is the best way to allow our choir to continue operating and help ensure that the RVCC will be around for years to come.
Standard Tuition Prices for RVCC 2020 - 2021 | Two Semesters (August 2020 - May 2021)
A/B Choirs: $525 ($100 due August 5th, then 6 monthly payments of $70.83)
B+ Choir: $555 ($100 due August 5th, then 6 monthly payments of $75.83)
C Choir: $630 ($100 due August 5th, then 6 monthly payments of $88.33)
However, we do understand that many choristers and their families have experienced financial strain due to the pandemic and current situations this year. We also know this year will look different and won't be exactly the same as what we are all used to in the RVCC. For these reasons, we are offering an optional discounted tuition for choir families who feel they may need it**. This discounted tuition rate of $100 off the standard tuition prices will be available for all our current RVCC members and new members who auditioned this May, as needed.
Discounted Tuition Rate:
A/B Choirs: $525 - $100 = $425 ($100 due August 5th, then 6 monthly payments of $54.17)
B+ Choir: $555 - $100 = $455 ($100 due August 5th, then 6 monthly payments of $59.17)
C Choir: $630 - $100 = $530 ($100 due August 5th, then 6 monthly payments of $71.67)
You can fill out the discounted tuition inquiry form below and Ms. Davidson will be in contact with you about the discounted tuition coupon code. (You must be registered for the 2020-2021 choir year before submitting your discounted tuition request.)
Requests for discounted tuition are due by August 1st. Please note, within the RVCC operating budget we have a limited number of discounted tuition coupons available and we are not able to offer the discounted tuition for every family. If you ARE able to pay the full regular tuition rate it will truly help to keep the choir program operating and also provide help for families who are unable to pay the full amount.
**For choir families with multiple children in choir, we are able to offer the $100 discounted tuition for the first child, and a $50 discounted tuition for every child thereafter. (Added to the already standard $20 sibling discount, this would give you a total of $70 off per additional child if you request a discounted tuition for your whole family.)
***If your family needs more than a $100 discount towards tuition, please fill out a scholarship application. You can apply for a choir tuition scholarship by printing and filling out the form found on our website here - childrenschoir.com/forms. Scholarship applications are due by July 24th, 2020.
