33rd Annual Holiday Concert,

“Songs of the Season”

Sunday, December 8th at 1:30 and 4:00 PM at Shaftman Performance Hall at the Jefferson Center, Roanoke VA. 

Holiday music sung with artistry by little angels!!! The RVCC concerts are celebrated for their purity in tone, artistic performances, and varied repertoire. Let the sounds of well-trained fresh voices usher in your holiday season!

The Roanoke Valley Children’s Choir, under the direction of Kimberly Ruse Davidson, presents its 33rd annual holiday concert, “Songs of the Season”, Sunday, December 8 at 1:30 and 4:00 PM at Shaftman Performance Hall at the Jefferson Center.  The doors will open 30 minutes prior to each performance.

Pricing is $22, $19, $16 with a $3 discount for children 12 and under.

Repertoire will include traditional, classical and lighthearted holiday music.

The choir’s special musical guests will include the Roanoke Chamber Brass, and Julee Hickox on flute.  

The Children’s Choir includes 230 children ages 8-18 divided into 3 training choirs and a concert choir. Students are accepted into the choir through simple auditions available before each semester and in May.  

Recent featured performances for the RVCC Concert Choir include the 2008, 2014, 2015 American Choral Director Conventions, a solo performance at Carnegie Hall in June 2016, a Festival and Solo performance in Canterbury Cathedral, England, in 2017, and as the featured liturgical choir at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC in 2019.  Upcoming, the RVCC Concert Choir will be a featured choir at the 2020 American Choral Directors Conference in Mobile, Alabama.   

The RVCC will host a Community Carol Sing-A-Long at the Taubman Museum on Friday, December 13, from 7:00-7:30.  Admission is free. We hope you can join us!
